When you want to create an order manually in the WMS, you can do so through the following steps. The steps listed below are mandatory fields required to create the order in the WMS.
- In the menu on the left in the WMS, go to Outbound -> Orders -> At the top of the orange bar, click on 'Create'.
- In the 'Customer' field, select the name of the webshop if it is not already automatically filled in.
- In the 'External reference' field, enter the reference for the order. Note, this must be a unique reference.
- The Requested Delivery Date is automatically set to one day later than the date the order is created. You can change this date to the desired date. The Requested Delivery Date means that the order can be processed one day before this date. See also the article De Requested Delivery Date in het WMS for more explanation.
- In the 'Addressed to' field, enter the company name of the delivery address if applicable, or if it is not addressed to a company but to a private address, enter the recipient's name here.
- In the 'Contact person' field, enter the contact person within the company, and if it is not going to a company, enter the recipient's name here again.
- In the 'Street' field, enter the street name.
- In the 'Street number' field, enter the house number.
- In the 'Number addition' field, enter any addition to the house number, if applicable. If there is one, add a / before the number, for example, /10.
- In the 'Zipcode' field, enter the postal code.
- In the 'City' field, enter the city name.
- In the 'Country' field, enter the country.
- In the 'Phone number' or 'Mobile number' field, enter the phone number if known (this is useful for delivery).
- In the 'Email' field, enter the email address if known (this is useful for delivery)
- In the 'Order lines' section, select the item(s) you want to add to this order. You can search here by name, EAN, or SKU. Once you enter this information, the item will appear, and you can select it. Then click on the green 'Add Line' button.
- The item has now been added, and you can change the quantity if necessary
- This way, you can add more items to the order
- The 'Total order amount' and 'Currency' fields should only be filled in if the destination is outside of Europe or an island. For more explanation on this, refer to the 'Awaiting Documents' section in this article 'Adjustments and statuses in the WMS.'
- Scroll to the top, and on the top right, under 'Shipment method,' you can enter the shipping method you want to use for this order.
Click on the orange 'Select shipment option' button. - You can now search for a shipping method by clicking on the black arrow and typing the shipping method or by scrolling. Once you have found the desired shipping method, select it and then click the green 'Select' button.
NOTE: It is important not to forget this step, otherwise the shipping method will not be saved in the order. - All fields required to manually create an order have now been filled in. You can now click the green 'Create' button at the bottom right of the screen, and the order will be created in the WMS
