In the case of non-EU shipments (outbound or return shipments), you'll encounter VAT and customs costs. To prevent these costs from becoming so-called "out of pocket" expenses and therefore not reimbursable, it's crucial to use the correct Incoterms when shipping, including return shipments.
If no Incoterms are specified, the sender/customs will always opt to pass the costs to the receiving party. In the case of outbound shipments, this is the purchaser of the product, and for return shipments, it's the receiving party, often eWarehousing.
To ensure the proper handling of these Non-EU Returns, eWarehousing will implement a change in its services regarding these returns.
Details about this change can be found in the attachment of this article.
